Sitting at 209 Parnell is a modest black door and historic facade, however, housed inside is a unique two-storey hair salon.
Owners Andrea and Stephen Cockle have created a warm, inviting environment that encourages clients to relax and enjoy their time in the chair. This is all hosted through a wholly unique salon experience with top-quality products, state-of-the-art tools and world class stylists converge with beautiful yet comfortable designer furniture, a bar with NZ wine and craft beer as well as boutique tea and coffee selections.
However, it is not the fitout that has everyone talking. It is the business ethics behind ASC Salon and the commitment to be as sustainable as possible, in the way the salon is conducted and the products on offer.
“Our business ethos reflects our love for our planet and community, therefore we aim to be as sustainable as possible, using products that are cruelty, ammonia, sulphate, paraben and resorcinol free,” explains Andrea Cockle.
Every product has been hand-selected to fit this ethos, including the wine, beer, tea and coffee. For the hairdressing products, Original Mineral and R+Co were chosen as they are both world renowned for their commitment to sustainable living and natural ingredients. In an industry with a reputation of unsustainable practices, ASC Salon is determined to ensure they do not fit the mould.
